Why Are Cannabinoids So Important for Our Well-Being?

In the last blog I explained our process of creating a 100% THC free tincture and mentioned that we double-extracted the THC to create that product. In that second extraction of THC, we sacrifice some of the cannabinoid properties found in the hemp plant. We don’t lose any CBD, which is just one of those properties, but we do lose other cannabinoids. Today we’re going to discuss the benefits of our “traditional” CBD tincture (with <0.3%THC).

So, why are we trying to preserve as many cannabinoids in our products as possible? And why are cannabinoids so important for our well-being?

Cannabinoids are beneficial for us because they interact with our endocannabinoid system, which are cannabinoid receptors and neurotransmitters that are involved in human functions such as pain, memory, mood, appetite, stress, sleep, metabolism, & immune function. This is why CBD has proven to help with so many different internal issues - both mental and physical!

It’s recently been discovered that each cannabinoid has a unique relationship with the endocannabinoid system. Some people speculate that many of those other cannabinoids, which can be left in the oil when we don’t extract ALL of the THC, are also very beneficial for our health, and/or make the CBD properties more effective when working in conjunction with them. When we leave our CBD oil with trace amounts of THC in it, we are able to leave over a hundred other cannabinoid properties in that oil!
